About Algebra 1
A Piece from this years algebra class that I am proud of.
This year in Algebra I have accomplished a lot of stuff that I am very proud of myself and one thing that I am proud of this class is my Quiz #2. I got a 30/30 on this test. I was proud of this piece particularly because I studied really hard and it really payed off.
Radioactive Isotope Project
Project Description
In the beginning of this project we did an experiment requiring the rolling of 100 dice. We would roll 100 dice and take out all the ones that we rolled. Once the number of dice we have taken out was 50 we would do that all over again to 25. This would represent the concept of a radioactive isotope’s half-life.
Then we went on to study a radioactive isotope of our choice. We found the half-life of that isotope by using the skills we learned in Algebra previously. Knowing the half-life of our isotope we made a table and a graph. These were both based off the constant rate of change that our isotope showed.
Project Reflection
I really liked this project because it taught me so much about math that I never would've guessed I could learn. I liked the fact of how we got to create our own posters and design the title. My favorite part of this project was creating the graphs and learning a out my radioactive isotope. I am proud and happy that we conducted these experiments and studied radioactive isotopes.
